BEFORE YOUR SPRAY TAN
Following these instructions carefully is the key to achieving the best spray tan possible.
Please do all of these things 24 hours before your appointment:
DOING THESE THINGS SOONER THAN 24 HOURS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT CAN CAUSE STREAKING OR BLOTCHING AND PROCESSING ISSUES WITH YOUR TAN.
Especially elbows, heels, and tops of hands and ankles.
Please exfoliate with a wash cloth and water only.
Manicure,Pedicure, Waxing, Hair coloring
Shaving-please make sure to rinse off shaving cream really well, shaving cream acts as a barrier cream and may make your tan blotchy or cause processing issues! Shaving sooner than 24 hours before your appointment can cause you to have streak marks in the area you have shaved as your skin has not had a chance to go back to it un irritated state.
Please make sure all make-up, deodorant, lotion, or oil is removed before your spray tan appointment
Please pull your hair away from your face.
Please try and avoid touching the inside of the tent, there may be over-spray that can discolor your palms.
AFTER YOUR SPRAY TAN
Avoid any water contact on the skin until after the first shower. Water contact stops the tanning process immediately.
Do NOT rub or scratch your body as this can also remove the spray solution during the important developing phase
Do NOT apply any creams or deodorants until after the first shower
When its time to rinse off, please only use lukewarm water.
Avoid using products that are designed to exfoliate the skin such as moisturizers that contain Alpha Hydroxy Acids, as this will prematurely fade your tan. I suggest not using any Bath and Body Works products after your spray tan.
Pat your skin dry.
Avoid chlorinated pools, salt water, spas and excessive heat such as sauna’s and steam rooms as this will dramatically accelerate the fading process.
Apply a moisturizer twice daily to lengthen the life of your tan.
Please only leave the solution on for the recomended amount of time, leaving it on longer can cause over processing, which can lead to an orangy look or blotchyness.
